Matrul Rinpotche
Taklung Matrul rinpoche

INTRODUCTION OF THE
INTERMEDIATE STATES

His Eminence Dzogchen RinpocheDzogchen Monastery Retreat

Dzogchen Monastery, South India
3rd to 13th January 2016
In this auspicious retreat at Dzogchen Monastery, the heart of one of the highest lineages in Tibetan Buddhism, His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche, Jigme Losel Wangpo, will continue his cycle of teachings on the bardos, the four intermediate states of life and death and how we can use them as an opportunity for liberation and even enlightenment.
Dzogchen Rinpoche will teach on the experiences during death and give us practical methods so that we can prepare for this moment and will know what to do, being able to go through this experience peacefully rather than having fear.
In this context, Dzogchen Rinpoche will also continue his teachings on the mandala of the 100 peaceful and wrathful deities, familiarising us with the visions we will experience in the intermediate state after death so we will be able to use this time as an opportunity for liberation into the samboghakaya.
Moreover, Dzogchen Rinpoche will introduce knowledge and skilful means that can already let the last moments of our life become an opportunity for full enlightenment, rather than going through the experience of death at all, thus giving us the choice between life and death! This wisdom and practice is held by the Dzogchen lineage only and makes this retreat an especially rare opportunity.
New students are welcome to apply for the retreat and there will be opportunities to discuss and revise the teachings so that they are accessible for all.

Drubpa Na Sel Practice for removing obstacles Dzogchen Monastery.

Drubpa Na Sel

Practice for removing obstacles
Dzogchen Monastery, South India
27th December 2015 to 1st January 2016
Guided by a team of monks from Dzogchen Monastery and senior students of the Gyalwa Dzogchenpa Sangha, we will practice for a period of five days preparing the ground and creating the auspicious circumstances in ourselves and the environment for the teachings of the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche, Jigme Losel Wangpo and the Annual Retreat to take place and be most beneficial to all.
The practices will be chosen by Dzogchen Rinpoche himself, allowing us to remove all obstacles that could arise for receiving the precious teachings, such as not understanding or not getting the point, or preventing us from receiving the transmission. Doing these five days of practice will also enable each of us to connect more deeply with the Dzogchen lineage and receive its blessings.
New students are welcome and will be supported to participate in all practices.

Tamdrin Yangtrö Nagpo Empowerment July 16 2015 by Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche.

Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche.

This July 16th, we have the utmost great fortune that H.E. Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche will return to Pema Osel Ling to bestow the Tamdrin Yangtrö Nagpo (Extremely Wrathful Black Hayagriva) empowerment with teachings, thus fulfilling the wishes of both Lama Tharchin Rinpoche and Lama Sonam Tsering Rinpoche

About Tamdrin Yangtrö Nagpo
The emanation of all Buddha’s speech arises as Avalokiteshvara, the form of compassion. In order to tame the wildest beings, Avalokiteshvara manifests as extremely wrathful Hayagriva. In this time of degeneration the inner elements of beings are imbalanced with very strong clinging and passions. Externally, this causes war and the use of biological and chemical weapons. Many new diseases with no known cure appear and epidemics spread quickly. Even friends, husbands, wives, and children seem intent on cheating and manipulating each other, so that no one knows who to rely on. This naturally leads to imbalances in the outer elements. The water element causes floods, tsunamis, and hurricanes; the fire element causes volcanoes, drought, and heat waves; wind causes tornadoes and windstorms; and the earth element causes earthquakes and landslides. Likewise, all the different classes of spirits become upset. The whole world, whether it is the inner elements of sentient beings or the outer elements, is extremely turbulent and out of control. At times such as this it is difficult for Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and wrathful deities to penetrate beings’ minds. That is when this form of Hayagriva in union with Tröma Nagmo, who is the most wrathful and therefore the most compassionate, appears.

Extremely Wrathful Black Hayagriva has special power to affect beings’ minds and benefit those who are depressed, dysfunctional, or crazy, as well as to cure disease. This is the condensed essence of all the billions of Hayagriva practices. It is easy to practice and highly effective. Even hearing this practiced will subdue all classes of spirits. Remembering it will eradicate all wrong views and demonic forces. Touching the image of this Hayagriva will pacify all disease and the passions of the five poisons. For whoever has a connection to this practice the seed of samsara will be destroyed.
Padmasambhava accomplished deathlessness through practicing Hayagriva. He transmitted it to his heart disciples, Yeshe Tshogyal and King Trisong Deutsen to practice and hide as terma. This terma was later discovered by Dudjom Lingpa, who was the emanation of Khyeuchung Lotsawa and Guru Dorje Drolod in person. HH Dudjom Rinpoche compiled this whole practice to make it easy to practice.

About Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche

The present Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, Thubten Chökyi Gyamtso, was born in 1961. He was recognized by H.H. Sakya Trizin, and received empowerments and teachings from many of the greatest lamas of Tibetan Buddhism, including H.H. the Dalai Lama, H.H. the 16th Karmapa, and his own grandfather, H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche. His main guru was Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and further studied with more than 25 great lamas from all four schools of Tibetan Buddhism. While still a teenager, he was responsible for publishing many rare texts that were in danger of being lost entirely, and in the 1980s, began the restoration of Dzongsar Monastery in Tibet. He has established several colleges and retreat centres in India and Bhutan. In accordance with the wishes of his teachers, he has travelled and taught throughout the world, establishing dharma centres in Australia, Europe, North America, and Asia. His organisation Siddhartha’s Intent organises Rinpoche’s teachings, while Khyentse Foundation is dedicated to providing for the needs of Rinpoche’s responsibilities.
